HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Zango LGEA was created in 1989 following the creation of Zango LGA. Local Government was created out of Daura local Government. Later Baure was carved out of Zango Local Government.

Presently the LGEA has a Total number of forty five Primary school and sx area officer namely Zango, Gwanba, Yardaje, Walawa, Rogog and Garmi. The LGEA has its permanents Headquarters building which was renovated in 2006.

c. Each school has a Headmaster’s office and store.

d. The enrolment figure of pupils both sexes are twenty Eight Thousand (28,000). While the number of teaching staff is 183.

CONTRIBUTION OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT

1. Reasonable office impress to Education Secretary and six Education officers.

2. Sponsoring offices to attend seminars, workshop and conferences.

3. The chairman is also given the LGEA instructional materials a stationeries, these include admission register, Textbooks and Exercise books.

4. Supply of desk and table to primary schools.

5. Payment of invigilators and supervisor during the common entrance Examination and interview

6. Recruitment of Eighty staff to teach in the primary schools.

ROLE OF TRADITIONAL RULERS AND PTA

ROLE OF DONOR AGENCIES

- Donor agencies like World Bank and UBEC supplied Three Seater desk in large number UNICEF supplied educative journals.

- The LGEA performed wonderfully in the recent conducted Qur’anic recitation competition.

- Professor Mills a Philanthropist from USA donated the sum of N8,000.00 to Yardaje I and II.
